VB.NET Tutorial
VB.NET is regarded as an OOP language (Object Orientated Programming Language). VB.NET is seen as the natural evolution from Visual Basic 6, its predecessor and is utilised using the Microsoft .NET framework.
VB.NET was released with Visual C# and ASP.NET with 4 generations being produced with gradual improvement on fucntionality and reliability.
Currently some of the most important features of VB.NET are:-
- Edit and Continue - allowing the modification of code and immediate resumption of the execution.
- Design time expression evaluation.
- Improvements to the VB - VB.NET converter (Note that backward compatability is not possible).
- Data source binding, easing database client/server development.
