Summary
The Institute of Architecture of Application System (IAAS) of University of
Stuttgart has several openings for researchers in the area of coupling Web
Service technology with business process technology and reliable messaging
technology. This research is part of two projects funded by the EU: the SUPER
project and the TripCom project.
All applicants should have a strong background in Web Service technology and Web
Service standards, and should have experience in developing software in Java.
Additionally, general knowledge from the area of ontologies or semantic Web
would be helpful, and knowledge of the Web Services Modeling Ontology (WSMO -
see http://www.wsmo.org) would be useful.
Job Descriptions
You will be working as member of the IAAS, and in a European consortium of
researchers and advanced technology users. You will have the opportunity to
develop your research profile, to give demos and presentations, and to write
technical and research publications. Within SUPER our focus will be on linking
various aspects of business process technology with Semantic Web Service
technology. Within TripCom our focus will be on linking messaging technology
with Semantic Web Service Technology. According to the various foci to be
covered, the open positions require further background in addition to that
mentioned above.
