A TFT is short for thin film transistor, which is a type of LCD flat screen display panel. In a TFT there are four transistors present this control each pixel. To date, TFT technology are able to provide the best resolution for all flat panel techniques and as such it is the most expensive around. TFT screens maybe also be knows as active matrix LCDs.
